Guidelines - What to expect the day of the event.
There will be no impounding of bikes prior to race.
Riders can show up the morning of the event.
All riders must Check-In at the BCMC booth (Opens at 6:30 AM)
Riders recommended to attend riders meeting at 8:30AM.
Start the event on the assigned minute you received during check-in. Typically 3 riders per minute.
Riders may ride their bikes to the starting line/departure area, but there is a dead engine start.
Riders have 5 hours to complete the course, if you started at 9:15, you have until 2:15 to cross the finish line. If rider exceeds 5 hours, rider is disqualified.
Much of the course is transfer section. These sections are not timed for points, however, keep in mind you need to finish within the 5 hour window.
Score cards need to be attached to your bike (usually the fender or number plate). Please remember to bring duct tape to attach your score card. When attaching, put it in an area where it can be easily written on.
When arriving at the start of a special test, you do not have to enter right away or at a specific time based on your starting minute.  You may want to take a break, get a snack/water, or check your bike; this is the perfect time for that. When ready, approach the special test area and let the worker know you are ready to enter. They will write the time you are entering the test on the score card. When that time arrives, you will enter the special test and be timed until you exit the end of that test section. At the end of the test section, a worker will record your exit time on the score card. Please allow workers to get this time recorded properly on your card. Since you are not racing at this time, there is no need to be in a hurry.
Have fun and be safe out there.
